Eightfold Logic San Francisco, founded in 2006 and already raised US $16m recently presented its new software / social network linkbuilding, Linker.
TechCrunch describes it as a match.com (dating site) for netlinking. Its mechanism is based on the relevance of the proposed sites: according to keywords, page rank / mozrank / alexa rank, geographic region, etc.. Their model: the first 3 links are free, then it will cost $12.95 per contact. After you enter into a contact with your link-partner, it is then up to you how you make use of that relationship. Google’s Mayday Update
On the first day of May 2010 Google made a significant algorithmic change. Their aim was to ensure that higher quality pages would surface when people made long-tail search queries. As a result, many sites have found that their long-tail rankings have dropped significantly.
Websites hit the hardest by Google’s Mayday change were large sites that have pages deep in their archives that don’t attract many inbound links. Ecommerce websites, in particular, have product pages that don’t get many links or feature any unique content. Essentially, pages that are several clicks away from the home page and that do not contain much useful, unique content are the most vulnerable.
